2017 – Summer Schools for Citizen Journalists in Ukraine

During July and August of 2017, Interlink organized summer schools for young bloggers and citizen journalists in four Ukrainian cities. Over the course of four ten-day courses, almost a hundred aspiring community journalists were taught essential journalistic skills by their Ukrainian trainers. At the end of each summer school, the participants worked in small groups to create multimedia projects using their newly acquired skills.

The program was sponsored by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and organized in cooperation with the Ukrainian NGO Regional Press Development Institute, Zaporizhzhya National University, Chernivtsi National University, Sumy State University, and Poltava National Pedagogical University.
